1. Overview
AMBTN is an organisational and productivity application operated by Kratzer & Co (ABN 35645362865), Australia. It helps you track, organise, and prepare business activity, personal scheduling, income and expense records you choose to enter, bookings, clients, and related information in one place.
AMBTN is not accounting software, tax agent software, or BAS/GST preparation software. We do not provide accounting, tax, BAS, GST, financial, legal, medical, or other professional advice.
We are committed to protecting your personal information and complying with:

Business activity you choose to record (for example clients, shifts, and booking-related records you manage as a business user)
Sensitive health-related information
If you use period tracking, we store the dates and notes you choose to save about your menstrual cycle. This is sensitive information—only use the feature if you are comfortable with how this Policy describes storage and processing.
Financial Data
Income, spending, and purchase records you save
Amounts linked to bookings, shifts, or services where you use those features
Financial categories and labels you assign
Tax region settings and rough organisational estimates shown in the app (for example “tax to set aside” style calculations — guides only, incomplete, and not your actual tax liability)
Records or percentages you flag for your own planned or potential claims (organisational records only — not a determination of deductibility)
Payment method labels only (cash, card, bank transfer — no full card numbers or bank login credentials stored by AMBTN)
Estimates, summaries, and exports. Any tax-related, profit, GST/BAS-style, claim, or financial figures or summaries produced in AMBTN (including in analytics, PDFs, CSVs, or AI-assisted wording) are organisational estimates or presentations of your logged data only. They may be incomplete or inaccurate. They are not official tax, accounting, or BAS documents. AMBTN does not calculate or lodge GST or BAS on your behalf.
Your responsibilities. You are responsible for checking your records, correcting imported or scanned data, determining deductibility and GST/BAS obligations with applicable law, meeting tax lodgement and record-keeping requirements, and seeking advice from a qualified accountant or tax professional before lodging returns, BAS, GST reports, or making important financial or business decisions.
Financial data from user-uploaded images (receipts and bank or card screenshots)
Where you choose to use features that analyse images—for example scanning a receipt or uploading a screenshot of bank or card transaction history—you may submit images that contain sensitive financial information (such as merchants, amounts, dates, balances, or other details visible on the image).
Types of information we extract (where the feature succeeds): structured fields such as transaction dates, merchants or descriptions, amounts, and categories, and comparable line-detail style information on some receipts.
Purpose: to support your expense tracking, general financial organisation, and optional insights and pattern detection inside the app — not to provide regulated financial, tax, or accounting advice, and not to prepare BAS or GST returns.
Accuracy: extracted or suggested fields may be incorrect. You must review and edit them before saving.
Storage and retention (bank/card history screenshots). For the bank/card screenshot import path, we process the image to propose transaction rows. Where technically feasible, we do not retain those screenshot files in Firebase Storage solely for that import; we use the image transiently so you can review results. Only structured transaction details you expressly review and save are stored in our database afterward.
Receipts attached to saved purchases. If you attach a receipt image to a purchase record you choose to save, that file may be stored in Firebase Storage under our Security Rules so it remains linked to your record.
Third‑party AI. Extraction features may transmit your image (and text derived during processing) to third‑party artificial intelligence providers—for example OpenAI—strictly so they can return proposed structured transaction fields to the app—subject to our agreements with those vendors and their privacy terms.
No bank credentials; no bank linking via this flow. AMBTN does not collect Internet banking passwords, OTP codes, MFA secrets, ATM PINs, or card security codes used to authenticate at your institution for screenshot or receipt OCR. These features operate on images you voluntarily upload. There is no Open Banking/direct bank connection created by screenshot import itself for reading live accounts—we do not use your bank login to pull data.
Client Data (Business Users)
Client names
Client contact details (email, phone)
Booking history
Client notes
Usage & Device Data
Product analytics stored in our own database (Firestore-based), such as feature usage and operational events — we do not use the Firebase Analytics measurement SDK in the web app
Device type, operating system, and app version (as collected by our infrastructure providers)
IP address and related metadata for security and abuse prevention
Location (Explore)
If you use location-assisted discovery (for example Explore), the app may access device location while you use that feature.
Widgets and Siri (Apple devices)
Home screen widgets may show information derived from data cached on your device. Siri Shortcuts or similar voice actions may send a limited session identifier and your request to our servers so the action can run while you are signed in.
Notifications
We may schedule local reminders on your device for items you set up. Where configured for a business, SMS or email may be used for booking-related notices.
Show organisational summaries, reports, and exports (for example PDF or CSV) based on what you have logged — these are for your preparation and records in the app, not as official tax or statutory filings by us
Improve performance, reliability, and user experience
Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations that apply to Kratzer & Co as operator of the service
4. AI Features Disclosure
AMBTN includes AI-powered features (such as the AI Help Assistant, voice-related tools, in-app summaries or pattern-style insights where available, and—where enabled—extraction of transaction details from receipt or bank screenshot images). Depending on the feature, audio may be sent for transcription, and text or images may be sent for parsing, extraction, categorisation, or summary-style outputs.
AI and OCR outputs may be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. They are assistive only.
They do not constitute professional, legal, financial, accounting, tax, BAS, GST, or medical advice
AI features do not make autonomous decisions about your money, deductions, or compliance
You must review and correct all AI-generated, AI-extracted, or auto-suggested fields before treating them as reliable records
Aligned summary: AMBTN provides organisational tools and rough estimates only. AI, OCR, imports, PDFs, CSVs, and exports are for preparation—not official tax or accounting documents. Data from screenshots or receipts may be wrong; review it. AMBTN does not provide financial, accounting, or tax advice.
5. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party providers:
Firebase (Google): authentication, database, cloud storage, server-side functions, and app security checks (App Check) where enabled
Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play): in-app subscription billing
RevenueCat: helps us verify subscription entitlements and link purchase status to your account in the app
Stripe: paid bookings and card payments for real-world services where that flow is offered — not used for standard app subscriptions (those go through Apple/Google)
OpenAI: optional AI assistance, transcription, parsing, summaries, and (where you use those features) image-based extraction from receipts or screenshots
Google AdMob: advertising on supported devices; on Apple devices we may request tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency) where applicable
Twilio: SMS (optional, including booking-related notices where configured)
SendGrid: email (optional, including booking-related notices where configured)
Google Calendar API: optional calendar sync
Google Maps / Places (optional): address or place suggestions where that feature is enabled
We do not sell personal data.
6. Payments
Subscription charges are processed by Apple or Google Play. Card payments for eligible bookings may be processed by Stripe. AMBTN does not store full card numbers for those flows.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
Active accounts: data retained while the account remains active
Account deletion: data archived for 7 years for tax, legal, and dispute-resolution purposes
Email and phone numbers are released for reuse after deletion
8. User Rights
You may:
Access and export your data
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request account deletion
Opt out of marketing communications
Disable optional features
9. International Data Transfers
Data may be processed outside Australia. We ensure equivalent data-protection safeguards with all partners.
10. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The latest version will always be available in the app and on our website.
