Pout is "Inbox Zero for your photo library." It sits on top of Apple Photos and shows you every photo and video that hasn't been added to one of your albums yet, so you can quickly file them away.
Open Pout and grant Photo Library access when prompted. Head to the Unsorted tab, tap a photo, then tap an album to file it. As soon as a photo is added to an album it leaves your Unsorted inbox.
No. Pout never copies, moves, uploads or duplicates your media. Adding a photo to an album creates a reference inside Apple Photos — exactly the same as doing it in the Photos app.
Pout only counts albums you personally created. Apple's automatic collections (Recents, Screenshots, Selfies, Favourites, Hidden, Recently Deleted, media-type albums, etc.) are intentionally ignored, so "Unsorted" reflects photos you haven't filed yourself.
Yes. After sorting a photo, an Undo option appears so you can reverse the last action if you tapped the wrong album.
It goes to your Apple Photos Recently Deleted album, just like deleting in the Photos app, and can be recovered there within Apple's normal window.
Yes. You can filter by photos, videos or all, and play videos directly inside Pout.
Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Pout on your iPhone. Note that Pout needs full library access to accurately detect which photos are unsorted.
